Quickstart: ask your first question

This quickstart walks you through your first conversation with Streya. By the end you’ll have asked a real question of your data, refined the answer, and exported a result.

Go to hub.streya.app and sign in. You’ll land in your workspace.

Open a new conversation. Before asking anything, it’s worth knowing what data you have: ask Streya directly.

What data do I have access to, and what kinds of questions can I ask?

The agent will list the available datasets and what each one covers.

Ask something you genuinely want to know. Plain language works — you don’t need to name exact columns or metrics:

How did sales evolve over the last 12 months?

Streya picks the relevant dataset, runs the queries, and replies with the numbers and a short explanation of what it found. You’ll see the results as tables you can scroll and sort.

The conversation keeps context, so follow up naturally:

Break that down by product category.

Which category is driving the decline since March?

Show that as a chart.

The agent answers with whichever visual fits — a KPI card for a headline number, a chart for a trend or comparison, a table for detail. You can ask it to change anything: “make it a stacked bar”, “show only the top 5”. More on this in Visuals.

On any result:

  • Copy a chart as an image to paste into a slide or message.
  • Download the data behind a chart or table as CSV.
  • State your goal, not just the metric. “I’m preparing the Q2 review — which accounts slipped the most and what changed?” gives the agent more to work with than “sales by account”.
  • Include your hypotheses. “Did the price increase in April affect volumes?” — the agent will test it rather than just describe the data.
  • Ask “why”, not only “what”. Streya can run the follow-up analyses a human analyst would: comparisons, breakdowns, contribution analysis.
  • Challenge the answer. Ask “how did you calculate that?” — the agent will show the queries and definitions it used.
